This school year (2018-2019), elections for the Student Coordinating Body started at the end of June, there were 2 party lists competing with each other which were the S.U.L.O.N.G. Party List and the RAINBOW Party List. Therefore, each position had two candidates in the election that were going to compete against each other. In the first week of July, the results of the students’ votes were unexpected and shocking. Some of the students were happily congratulating the winners while the others were sadly disappointed of the outcome.
A week after the election, another shocking news was spread around the school, it was about two SCB Vice President’s who will lead the school community. This situation has never happened in the school community.
According to Patricia Dela Fuente, a Grade 9 student and the newly declared SCB Internal Vice President of the Holy Family Parochial School, “So first of all, I lost to Gio Angeles. He got 64 votes while I only got 54. It was a ten point difference and I took my loss really well and I was happy for everyone who won at the same time since I knew that the newly elected student leaders will be able to lead the school community properly.” She also stated that she was once asked by the SCB Adviser, Ms. Carren Lazo, to join their SCB meeting. She said that she herself assumed that it was only a meeting for the King and Queen candidates of each grade level. She was perplexed, and she got even more confused when she was the only one in the meeting who was not an SCB Officer. Even the elected officers were confused about her appearance in their SCB meeting.

Both teachers officially declared that these two Vice Presidents will have their own priorities and contributions toward the students and the school community. Thus, the designated commands has been settled in the two Vice Presidents. Gio Angeles being the Official External Vice President, who will be more focused in outdoor and indoor activities and will be able to appear in school events and activities. While Patricia Dela Fuente being the Official Internal Vice President, who is basically more focused on school paper works. Therefore, we can experience two Vice Presidents who can be trusted in our school community, who will be inspirations and great role models to students, and who can promote good morals and sense of kindness to the students. We can hope that these two great youth leaders will have a good partnership as the Vice Presidents of the Holy Family Parochial School.
